saw a few of these at the lfs. don't know the true name. but does anyone have experience with them. The lfs has had them for at least two months now and they are all about 1-2" long. very tiny guys.
i know i shouldn't buy them due to size but they seem healthy after this long time. they are 5$ each. dunno if i want to add anything to the tank for quite some time but i just thought it might be a future addition if i can work out all these troubles i am having.

Well, if its the one on the right in my sig which I do beleive it is (was sold under the name Oscillated loach) then I have had one but unfortunately was a while ago and actually the first loach I ever bought - actually in the first batch of fish I ever had. I didnt even know about the cycle then and the poor fella had to endure it (fish did die but not the loach). I forget when, but it died sometime 6mo-1yr later when I had a huge ick outbreak from a new fish. I've never seen them again. Wish I new what I was doing back then... it was a very pretty looking loach. Sorry, I know this doesnt help you much... but I do miss the little fella.

Mark in Vancouver is your man for these guys. I think Graeme has them too.

Believe it or not Martin, i don't keep these chaps. I've never seen any around here before.

I would imagine they are similar to the other
Acanthocobitis with them being outgoing and always inquisitive, constantly searching for foods. Very high water aeration and circulation is recommended. I also think that Mark in Vancouver stated once that his where a little bit aggressive (not sure).
Mark is your man for a more personal experience of keeping these.

A friend of mine has a large rubidipinnis. It is very greedy, very nosey, and loves to have a fight!
