Tubercules on small clown?

Today I left my oldest daughter alone with the camera, and look what she did! She took better pictures than I do! :D

As I was loading them on the computer, I was very surprised to see these bumps on the one clown's face. You can not see these with the naked eye as far as I can tell, and none of my clowns exceed 4"TL.

Are these tubercules? Sorry for the dirty glass.

Thanks for any input.

Yes Ma'm them be tubercules.

You are absolved for the glass. Say 12 Hail Windex's

You'd better watch that one (daughter).

Martin.

Thanks Martin and Diana!!

I was surprised that such a small loach would have reached sexual maturity--if that's what the tubercules mean.

Does this mean that under the right conditions they could spawn at this size?

(Please understand that I do not expect them to spawn in my tank. Just wondering if they don't have to be huge to spawn.)
