Alpha teaching babies?

Post by LoachOrgy » Wed Jul 18, 2007 6:53 pm

It may be me but I have noticed since my smaller Loach 3" has taken over alpha loach(since the mass destruction) has been teaching the smaller loaches how to loachy dance in a very aggressive manner. But it is hillarious to watch. The smaller loach morpheus starts mimicing what this loach is teaching it how to do. I can definitely tell this loach is more of a leader than double o loach was. all the other loaches follow this one around and they all stay outside of their homes during the day. They are much friendlier now. Ill post video of this soon. They run away so far when i place the video. however, i have some really really good video of the loachy dancing they have been doing. it will take a few hours after i charge the battery. be up later tonight.

These guys don't so much shadow this loach like they did the larger alpha loach. They follow the loach but hang out more.

this is so hillarious. watch the alpha go in circles around the smaller loaches. i dind't catch the alpha doing what it was doing earlier. he would do a spin, then stop, nudge the smaller loach to get the smaller loach to do the same thing. then when the smaller loach did it, the bigger loach would do it again. back and forth. it was quite entertaining.

i have another ac70 but i think it might be overkill for this 55. i was just about to upgrade until armagedon hit my tank. so now i don't need to for a while. i will wait out hurricane season before i do any upgrading. so now i have an extra x3 rena and one ac70 jethead as well. i have two sponge intake filters for ponds and i could build the manifold design witha quick trip to home depot.
the loaches have enough current as it is. the cory's and the cherry barbs don't move much anymore bc they seem to hide from the current. i was thinking of building a river manifold setup with two jetheads but i am not sure if this is a good idea while the fish are still in the tank.
