Skinny Pop

And no, I don't mean Iggy.

Shari's recent posts related to CWS or 'skinny disease' have made me realize that my smallest clown (Pop) has been exhibiting classic symptoms for a couple of weeks now (appearance-wise; he's never had an appetite quite like the others). I've got him in the hospital tank, dosed with Maracyn II. I am really hoping he'll pull through- he's kind of a special little guy, always the one that comes to the glass to get a good look at me when I come to feed them...anyhow, thank you Shari- the pictures you posted really opened my eyes- I hope my little buddy pulls through!

I think Iggy has been self-medicating for years

Identification is the first part of treatment. We have a distressing but very useful photo in The Book which illustrates this very graphically.

Actually what you've seen there Kate is just the start of something that Shari is actually working on. Theoretically, she should have had it in "Private" mode until completed......unless of course she wants people to see the work in progress :)

Fingers crossed for your fishy :D

Gah! No pressure Mr. Thoene.
And no promises. Time is a scarce commodity around here lately. :?

and you're welcome Kate. 8)

I'm sorry to report that little Pop is no more. He expired in the cave this afternoon. :(

He's taught me a lesson; and this is- if clowns aren't almost constantly roving for food, they probably have a problem. Shari, thanks for the help- I've ordered the Levisimole- it didn't arrive in time to help him, but I'll have it on hand in case of future troubles.
