*new species?* Laos Yellow Tiger Botia * NEW PICS 18th Sept*

A few of you have already had to put up with my excitement in anticipation of receiving these new loaches from Laos! These are a new species discovered in a previously unexplored location.
The pics are terrible as they were taken in the dark, just after releasing the fish into the tank, but you get the idea. They are absolutely tiny, 1.0-1.5" TL max, so if they look as pretty as this when this small, imagine what they might grow up to look like........
They need feeding up and a few rounds of Levamisole, but that will been seen to.
More (better) pics will follow later in the week once they have had a bit of time to settle in.

They sure are cute little guys.
I wonder if the yellow changes to a silvery white as they mature as is the case with histrionicas and rostratas?

Are we certain they'll fit in in a grr tank? Have there been any reports on behaviour in adult specimens? .....I want some, that's why I ask!

When I get mine they will only be with Skunks so there shouldnt be any trouble. As far as adult behaviour goes these are a newly discovered species so no one knows, I was talking with Graeme about this on the way back from Emma's and we can only assume they are similar to other Tiger Botia species as far as aggression levels go and size.

Projection based on the family adult shape and assuming the colour stayed the same which it probably won't........ but we can hope........
