I posted a few weeks ago about getting either corys or B. striata. Well I finally decided on the striatas and picked these guys up last week...enjoy :)

Sorry they're a bit blurry

They're all in a 10gallon QT now but they'll be moved to larger quarters in a month or so. So far they all seem healthy and very active.

Congratulations. I have been trying to get striata for months, but to no avail. That's the drawback with living in the boonies.

The store I bought them at had a tank full...probably around 20 or 25 of them. They've had them in stock for at least a month. I bought 6. If I had more room I'd love to have a larger group. Oh well. Maybe I'll add to the group in the future when I get a larger tank :)

Ha, that's funny...I hadn't even noticed. I'm hoping to get some better pics of the striatas over the weekend. If I do I'll post them on Monday.

One word of advice on horsefaced loaches, they are a nightmare to catch. As they get bigger they become even quicker. When you put them into their new tank, make sure they won't require moving any time soon.

Anyone who's ever had to catch them will tell you this.

But they're great little fish.
