A nice
Fedex man delivered me the first proofs (in color) for the book not long ago this morning. I've had a quick flick through and it looks absolutely fantastic!
If you've seen any recent TFH fish books it's in a very similar style. Come November/December you'll be able to hold a life-size picture of Marge in your hands

From Amazon. Just put in Loaches as a search criteria.

While you can order it from Amazon, please also consider ordering it from either a local independent bookstore or your lfs. By doing this, more stores put in advance orders for the book, and we get a little more exposure. We want fish shops to know of this book!

Best bet:
Go get the ISBN and publisher's info off of Amazon and bring it to your lfs and ask
them to order it.
Amazon has its uses...

Humm. I liked the cover with the huge clown better.

At first I did too, but the image they chose works very well, IMO. I think it's a slightly better illustration of what makes a loach different from other aquarium fish - and that's the marketing point I think they're trying to make.

I'm not sure .. to me the new cover looks 'cold' and alien, the older cover on the other hand has an immediate warmth and a friendly expression on me (huge lovely and brightly coloured clown).
Anyway, it's not mine to decide about this, just throwing in my thoughts. Seems like a great book and I will likely buy it.

Actually, that huge lovely Clown is mine and was only about 2.5" long at the time that picture was taken.

I know what you mean, Connor. You'll have to enjoy the double-page spread photos of some fish inside the book!

Ok, ok .. "deceivingly huge looking but actually very small lovely and brightly coloured clown".

I hope none of my pics are in the book. I don't remember signing anything giving permission to use my pictures.
