This is a picture of my khullie tank
This is the part they hang about most.
When I was feeding them this evening, I saw a little khullie, I've never put a khullie this size in my tank.
loachmom,
I have an internal filter, it's an Elite, can't remember the size but it's the one recommended for the tank.
I got your link on my other thread so thanks for that.
I'M in the process of doing some research on the rivers that khullies come from, as I'm thinking of rescaping my tank.
I think I must be doing something right, don't know what it is, as I have a baby swimming about my tank at the moment.
I'm wondering... do you have strong water flow or is the water relatively calm?
I have a suspicion that some loaches might actually lay their eggs in calmer sections of the river so the fry don't get swept away. But then again, I'm no scientist and I could be wrong.
CONGRATULATIONS! Its great when fish breed and even better is your not expecting or conditionaing. I have a few of these and mine havnt bread yet but they are a recent addition as a friend gave them to me as he was moving to France. they often breed in undergravel filters. i know someone who took theirs out to clean and found 30!! they started with 4!!! lol They took the filter out as was wondering why the amonia was rising! that was the problem lol
