FINALLY! Perfect Pangios!

It's been a long wait. I set up a 45 gallon tank specifically for kuhlis ages ago but trying to find any good ones has taken ages. I'm fed up seeing tanks of Anorexic, dying kuhlis.
Today, Harold got these guys in from Singapore and because he trusts me, let me take 10 of them today. Normally he wouldn't sell them straight away. He spent ages catching ones with cool markings.
I'm looking for input/opinions on exact species. I'm thinking
P.kuhlii, but the multi-striped guy in the middle of the pic here is intriguing. It's also not doing the loachy dance now with the others so that might indicate a difference. Some could be
P.myersi.
Gravid female.
She be fat.
You can see the green of the eggs.
This is the only decent pic I've got so far of the ultra-stripey guy.....nice!
Cathedral window marking.
Strange shaped markings.
Fattie.....
Lounging.
Martin.

They'll "get along" in the respect of them not being aggressive in any way, but really Botiid loaches are a bit too boisterous for kuhlis. Their optimal tank setup requirements are different too which is the main reason that they're not really compatible.

Love the lounging shot. That's the best of the bunch, I think.

The funny thing with that shot Shari is that it was the first one I took after I emptied them into the tank.

I cannot miss this opportunity after years of stick from Mr T....
Clean the glass!

hahahahahahah!

P.S. seriously now.....did these come in labelled as
P. myersi (the ones you mentioned to some of us beforehand)? What is the nostril/nasal barbel situation with that extra stripy specimen? (can't see from the pics yet). Close ups of the head and the caudal peduncle would be good once they've settled in a bit.

I hate you all for making me want so many different kinds of loaches.

They are really nice looking kuhlis. Makes me want to go out and start shopping for more.
I have one that has the same marking as your cathedral window one. I thought the marking looked like a wishbone, and so that is that kuhli's name, Wishbone.
Looking forward to lots more photos and updates.

Very nice Martin
I like photo 4 and the last one
THey look very similar to the ones I got some time back that were on the list as "Giant Kuhli's" and they have turned out to be a mixture of
Pangio kuhlii and
Pangio semicincta

Yes MD and Emma, I believe these were roped into the supplier's listing of "Giant" kuhlis at 12cms which is what Harold ordered. But these came in listed as 8cms. They're listing the larger size again apparently.
Maybe Harold will chip in with exactly how they were itemised on the shipping manifest.
Emma, I meant to write in a dirty glass apology in the initial post but forgot. I had some really great shots that I didn't process because there were algae spots all over the subject. Ya got me!
Emma does happy dance.

Wow!

Those Kuhlis are in great condition! Nice and plump and beautifully colored!
I'd say that all but the one in the last photo you posted are P. semicincta. That last one is a P. Myersi. Beautiful little fish! Excellent find Martin! Does Harold ship fish? I too have been looking for healthy Kuhlis to add to my tank. 6 months ago I bought a dozen of them and every single one died in the first week of quarantine.
