Nice Weather....

Post by Emma Turner » Sun Apr 02, 2006 7:19 pm

I took a few Weather Loach (M. anguillicaudatus) photos the other day, as I am currently writing an article on them, so I thought I would share the best shots with you. :D
Enjoy!

Great pictures and a lovely specimen. I've never kept Weather loaches, but when they look as nice as this one it's tempting.

Martin.

The close up of the mouth is fantastic, Emma. And it looks like you've got a pretty healthy loach there!

Cheers everyone! This chap certainly wasn't camera shy.
I was pleased with the portrait shots, that mouth looks quite alarming so close-up!

Theres just something about Weather loaches. Not the prettiest fish in the world, but they've got great personalitys. I love em.

Any chance of seeing the article when its finished please Emma?

Hi Gary - The article is due to be published in Tropical World magazine, which is sold in some aquatic stores (including ours!) and by subscription. It is published every 2 months or so, the next one due out any time now. The Weather Loach article won't be in this next issue, but hopefully (space permitting) in the one after that. I did an article on Botia in the Deecember issue, but haven't done any loach articles for this forthcoming issue - this time I was asked to cover Congo tetras, and small Asian barbs. :D
