Hello im new here and had a question...
I have had clowns for nearly 10 years now and recently set up an old 30 gal tank. I threw in 5 1.5 in clowns and things were fine for a few weeks. For the past 4 days I noticed that the are always squabbling normally after feeding. My other loaches fought but, not like this is there a reason why? well any info would be greatly appreciated

They are just settling who the boss is. It's normal, and they won't hurt eac h other. It may be that the new tank upset the balance so they have to reconfigure the pecking order. A 30 gal for clowns will be too small - the experts on this site recommend a 130 gal (6 foot tank) since clowns grow to a foot or more.
Anyway, welcome to the forum - you have hit loach pay-dirt!

30 gallon 4 now going to get a 150 gallon later. Was planning on combining all of the loaches which is 10 of them in the 150. In the future when my budget is good, going to look for a 250

Hello, glad to see another clown loach keeper here. Show us Pic's Pic's Pic's. I'd love to see your 10 year old clowns.
It sounds like clowns. My clowns sometimes wake me up at night when they are clicking at each other. Usually the loser ends up swimming over to another tank. It's normal behavior for them to challenge each other.

Hi chefkeith,
Nice bridges you´ve got there. Is that for fish passage purpose or just to use same water on whole tanks?
I have already thought doing something like that in my dreams. To have multiple tank system with passages joinning them all for fish to choose where to stay.
Nice idea!

Sorry for the hyjack.
Rocco- briefly, bridges work the same as a siphon.
Marcos -They serve both purposes. I built them for fish passage, but there is about 1000 gph of water flowing through them.
