On another forum which i visit i mentioned about who i liked emperor botias and well one of the members said he thinks he has some in at his lfs.
Would you agree that these are botia udomritthiruji?

Whether or not they are that species I'll leave to the 'experts'. However, those are some sick fish and I wouldn't recommend putting them into a tank with any other fish.

Yup! They are the Botia udomritthiruji. Also a bit on the skinny side. Treatments with Levamisole is highly recommended.

I don't know whether to go for some, i'de loves some but they as pointed out not the most healthy fish and i don't really have that money to just spend like that.

Could you shed some light on levamisole?

Those Emperors dont look to healthy at all

If you were going to consider getting them I can highly recommend using flubenol as well as the levimasole, I got three from Emma's that were fine but I got three others that were a little on the skinny side and I did 4 doses of levimasole followed by a couple of flubenol treatments and they have gained weight and are now nice and chunky

Yes. Hmm, if i am going to get some of these i think i will wait for some healthier ones, even though that could take a while.

Stores that have these in stock need to be encouraged to de-worm them and bring them back into condition. Another collection may not happen for some time, given the remote location and troubles in the region.

Yeah, i agree.

Well better to be safer than sorry, i'm going to miss this chance.
I can then have a tank devoted to these with just a couple of dither fish instead of sharing it with other loaches.
BTW if anyone wants to know what fish store they were from just pm me. It's in the Manchester area.

I agree with that. I must say I had already contacted my shops about the use of various treatments for deworming including levamisole. Hopefully, a lot of people won't lose their loaches to what they consider wasting away.

Yet again Dario's head profile springs to mind looking at these !
