Another species suggestion for river tanks

I finally managed to get a couple of half decent shots of these beautiful
Psilorhynchus balitora, which we've had in for some time now. These are usually referred to in the trade as 'torrent minnows', but are actually rarely seen. The genus
Psilorhynchus was looked at earlier this year in the Cobitoidea paper (Slechtova/Bohlen/Tan), and are not new to us at the shop. A few years back we had in some
Psilorhynchus homaloptera, but sadly back then I didn't have access to a digital camera and was unable to photograph those.
Psilorhynchus balitora:
This specimen did go a little pale in the photo tank, but you get the idea. The shots I have when they are settled in the stock tank are not very good as they tend to prefer the shadier areas.

Excellent choice! I had one (a contaminant) of this family in my first ever River-Tank and it did famously. Good mixers and despite little colour they are very attractive with their big eyes. Mine had beautiful silvery blue reflective areas on some of its scales.

This photo is a little dark, but it shows those
big eyes:

I had some Psylorhynchus about ,ooh ten years ago , cant think which ones they were of the top of my head ? they were a slim delicate looking fish , really attractive , i agree they would make great river tank inhabitants !
At the moment i have some dwarf Garras ? i did wonder if these might be Parapsylorhynchus ? might see if Mick will take some pics ?
B t w nice pics Emma !

Very nice Emma
I can see the record for the amount of boxes leaving your shop with one person getting broken again
