would a school of Cardinal Tetras go with Clown loaches?
the loaches currently are only 3-4 inches long.

Hmm.................Personally, The colours clash.
Don't your other fish not have a say?

Been there, done that. Yes it worked out fine. Similar water requirements too.

If you're planning on adding Cardinal tetras to the Clown tank in your signature, the Geophagus and possibly the gouramis (depending on the species - I'm thinking if you have the larger Trichogaster sp.) would be a threat to them. Larger Yo-yos would probably also harass them somewhat.

thanks emma. i have added them.. they are doing fine... the yo-yos are also still small and they don't harass them at all... yo-yos are like 3-4" the only fish that gets curious is the geophagus (don't know what type) he's only 3" and he usually leaves them alone, especially since i bought him a toy-no joke he plays with it it's a hand-blown glass manatee that is safe for aquariums and it has a ball so it can float around... when Bandit (the geophagus) isn't moving him wherever he wants to go. thanks so much for your input!

I had cards in my loach tank, was fine, no harrassing at all as they inhabit different areas of the tanks at different times. they both need matured stable tanks tho and cards like lots of leafy cover to sleep in, dont be alarmed if they have no color in the am, its normal.
