Nice find. I thought clown loach eggs were supposedly green? It sounds like the alleged parents would be young and not sexually mature. Just my personal opinion though

That is some low pH!
The eggs don't look too good, however...

Yes it is, and I find it interesting because I maintained my clown loach aquarium at a similarly low pH for a long time, but saw no 'signs'. If I were to attempt anything like that, I would probably need to separate Marge with one or more of the 'interested' adult males, and even if that were possible (which it isn't) I don't know that I could put them through such an upheaval. I certainly couldn't put her in a smaller tank than she's in now, not even temporarily.
It'll be interesting to hear more details on this for sure.

Didn't that 'other' account of clown spawning also include moving the fish to another tank?

Cool, if he can get a baby clown loach from these eggs that would mean he's the first one in the world to be able breed the clown loach (with proof)?

This
isn't the first. We've had some spawnings already recorded behind the archives.

Blue, can you link to those? I can't seem to find them...
Emma, do you still have the photos you posted from the spawning behavior you saw a few months after you got Stripes? They were in the archives on that UNUSUAL BEHAVIOR thread, but were hosted on the coppermine site that is down, now.

Ah, yes. This was the 'other' I was referring to. Thanks.
And no, it doesn't mention him moving them. My mistake.

Wonderful!
Lets hope that at least some eggs hatch, but even if thet dont, I think that this is a big step forward in our knowledge about these wonderful fishes.
It gives some ideas, with the extreme pH. I have tried similar water conditions, but with no results. My first thought is that moving the breeding group maybe give them the peace to do their thing. In a bigger group it probably is to much disturbance.
