New tank update (again)

Some updating. We moved to a new house and as normal procedure when moving, you get a new tank and a bigger one. :)

I got this used 540L with dimensions 150x60x60. It had arcadia T5 light with 4x54W tubes. The silicone was changed because it was in terrible condition. Also I found that the light was broken, only 2 of 4 work. Something is broken inside, I'm now having negotiations with the seller of some refund. If this wasn't enough, I was home yesterday when kids were sick and while trying to organize things I dropped the cover glass pieces, almost a m² chattered on the floor.

Well this were only material set backs. All fish and other critters are in good health.

I'm posting this on the freshwater side because the loaches are now a minority in the tank. Same Gastromyzons, Sewellias, Rosys. But I have now 11 Garra flavatras, hoping to be lucky with some spawning (hints and tips are welcome). I added some Danio choprae yesterday and they have settled in perfectly, very very active fish (no typo, the are very very active). Seems impossible to get a good picture, Martin had some good ones.

Same setup as before, plants which name starts with Java- and anubias. Biggest difference is that there is no sand, just round black stones covering the whole bottom. The idea of this was that if there is some fry and eggs, if just scattered they should be quite protected when falling down (hoping that the Danios miss the event). There is a Eheim 2252 for current, considering to get another one. Also two canisters to keep it clean.

And finally some pics and a video after the rambling. The video is out of focus at times, not used to autofocus during filming (D90). The first pictures are take before the danios arrived.

Absolutely stunning! The fish, the tank, the layout, all superb!

Must be lovely to sit at night and get lost in it.

Thanks all!! The negotiation with the seller went good, got 50€ back and a Eheim 2252. I'm not sure if I'm going to add the 2252, it's extremely powerful. :)
