Molting trouble

One little (very little) Cherry Red shrimp seems to have gotten stuck half-way out of its shell. It has been like that for a day and a half, and seems to be getting weaker. Has anyone seen anything like this before? Is there any way to help?
Thanks!

I'm sorry to hear that your Shrimp died.
I have never seen this before but my boyfriend has. He says they always die if they can't get out of their old skin. Some of them just have a problem molting. If you try to help pull the skin off, you will kill it.
I'm not sure if there's any way this can be helped.

Giant atlantic lobster in public aquaria die (eventually) from heart attacks associated with molting. It seems to be sort of why/how they die, lest they would live forever.

Sorry for your loss. Shrimp, dog, or fish, losing animals is never fun.
