your tanks are really pretty. I especially like your goldfish tank.
Not anything I would have ever thought to set up (I am not that original, and have not considered goldfish seriously) , but looking at what you have done, it is quite beautiful. They are little, beautiful bumblers.

Thank you Glenna! I did this to make it very simple, showcase the fish..not the tank, and most of all for ease in cleaning! Most people when they saw it questioned that it would be hard to keep looking nice. Actually, it is totally the opposite. Ever cleaned out a normal tank with GF and regular substrate? It is nasty and never clean. This tank has an oversized filter, which helps to give these fish their much needed high oxygen content, and hold lots of good bio-media for filtration. The rocks being on the large size, make it easy to push them around and get any hidden waste. Clean the glass and plants, particularly paying attention to the bottom to give back the mirror look. And walla, looks brand new again!
It is supposed to resemble a pond in the middle. I was not too happy when the hairgrass plants arrived, because they have pink on them{not noticeable in the pics} but it works with the lily. I am also not a fake plant fan, would have preferred live plants, but that's a whole different set of problems and care. This tank has a small clean up crew which consist of a Sumatran Goby, and Peckoltia sp. They get rid of most all of the stray food. One good thing too, if I get tired of the plants they could easily be changed. :)
