1 gph sounds about right. If you let the organics build up a little, the water will get more acidic. Peat could help increase the organic load too, so it probably wouldn't hurt to add that also.

Just wanted to post an update. 2 clowns that previously did not show symptoms started to have symptoms.

I was able to catch one of them and put him in Quarantine with prazi-pro and he died within 12 hours of being in quarantine. The loach that died did not show any redness in the gills or pectoral area, and other than being dead the loach looked fine.

Two days ago I was able to catch the other clown showing symptoms and he has been in quarantine for the last 2 days with prazi-pro. His breathing has slowed down some (still breathing faster than normal) but his dorsal fin is no longer clamped which it was in the main tanks. This morning from what I hear he was actually loachy dancing which he wasn't doing before. He showed signs of improvement within 18 hours of being medicated.

I'm still not sure what exactly is going on, from what I've read of gill flukes the gills should show some sign of an issue, but the guy that is in quarantine now does not show visible signs of illness other than rapid breathing and a clamped fin which has improved since being medicated.

As for water parameters I added a small amount of peat to the system and the ph has dropped a small amount. Water parameters are listed below.

Central System
Date PH TDS EC Temp
7/14/2008 7.95 164 328 79.4
7/15/2008 7.96 164 328 79.7
7/16/2008 7.99 165 330 79.5
7/17/2008 10:49PM 7.87 165 330 79.7

Incoming water
Date Inc Temp Inc TDS Inc EC inc PH
7/14/2008 76 155 310 7.61
7/15/2008 78 157 314 7.61
7/16/2008 76 157 314 7.65

Let me know what you think.

Thanks.

I got my fingers crossed.

Prazipro is good stuff. Expensive though. It definitely helped solve a few problems with my clowns.
