Bloated danio

Post by Jim Powers » Sun May 24, 2009 10:19 pm

The one remaining Danio roseus that I have (never see them around here) became very bloated a few weeks ago. I thought for sure that the fish would die, although it did seem to show interest in food much of the time. The fish continued to grow in size to the point that it had difficulty swimming and I was seriously considering euthanizing it. But, I held off.
Then, gradually the fish began to resume its normal girth and now it is back to normal in every way.
Anyone ever had this happen before?
I have had white clouds do this, but they never survivied.
