I know I don`t do anything to help on this forum, and don`t post much...
But I do come and read..
I know you all are the people to come to when it come`s to loaches..
And that some of you may remember me...Am now going to give all the info i can...Please bare with.

Tank, 660L, 2, full grown Oscar`s, 2 SAE`s, 2 Tiger bard`s. 7 CL`s of now. temp 27C, 2 w\c of 50% a week for the most.
1, fx5, one eheim 2260.
What I feed, fresh shrimp, Cichlid pellet`s, Mellon, broccoli, Carrot`s, Shrimp pellet`s, Algae pellet`s, home made cod food with garlic, and vegg`s. bloodworm`s, Brime shrimp. Disco frozen food. and flake`s.

Anyway`s I think my CL`s may have skinny disease.
for around two yeas`s ago I got 4 1inch baby`s to add to my group.
There is one left, of these 4.
They have gotten fat, grown to around 5 inch or so...and then seem to just stop eating...Just getting skinny-er and skinny-er until they die.
I have tried to feed bloodworm`s with a drop of garlic...they eat some but not enough to stop them from dieing... Have put them in the Q tank with the White Cloud`s each time... I know the temp for the WC`s is not good, and they have just spound.
Am on the last of the 4 baby CL`s, and just cant figure it out, why they just stop eating, there colour is still good, no sign of sickdom...The other 5 CL`s that are from 5 to 8 inch ? are fat and still doing good.
Have had them for year`s, where also baby`s when I got them.
OK Oscar`s don`t really even look at the CL`s but for when they try to whisker the Oscar`s. will give a little chase, CL`s run for cover. Lot`s of cover.

OK long enough, so sorry.....I just don`t know what`s going on. Please help.
Forgot to add...
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 15
PH 6.5
What get`s me is they can grow get fat and healthy and then just go down hill....I don`t understand it.....

Mick only with garlic....I believe it`s a natural way of getting reed of parasites. and to bust there immune system, and to simulate them to feed.

Also forgot to add. ( where`s my brain )
That my one Oscar is on a trip and is after the other most the time, for the last few month`s....no damage is done.... But the CL`s are now night active...I put there food under the wood, etc to make sure they get there`s.
And thank you for your response. :)

i can't think of anything else it could be, as far as i'm concerned everything you are doing is good.

Oscars can be territorial and aggressive. If one of yours is harassing the other then I would separate them. Too much stress in the tank, and the alpha will get annoyed that the lower ranking one is not going far enough away. He does not realize that the tank is in the way, all he understands is that the lower ranking fish is still hanging around.

OK, I have now just ordered the "wormer plus" and will start treatment as soon as I receive it.
Mick, thank you so much for helping a stressed out old women. Hug`s.

Diana it`s not as bad as it sound`s, the one Oscar is going through puberty, and has a chase after the other at time`s..
No one is getting hurt, If it dose not go over soon then I will have to give one up.
They have changed roll`s on who`s boss....Darn there just like kid`s at time`s.

Thank you Mick..
Isn't good to be well on are way in life. :D
So I take it I can use the full dose on the CL`s...
I will be using it on all my fish as well.
Iam not one to jump into med`s at the first sign of a problem, I believe that clean water and a good balance diet keep your fish healthy.
I know that fish do have parasites and the garlic usely take`s care of it.
But now have learned it sometime`s is just not enough.

Just a update...
I got the med, today and have added to the tank.
I also added to the Oscar tank, even though the CL`s look good in there.
Thought it was best to give it to them.
I sure hope this work`s, I really don`t want to lose another CL.
Again Thank`s Mick....
