Hi guys just looking for some quick advice. I have fanices with catfish, this morning I noticed what I thought looked like possiable fungus infection on 1 of my black moore tail, it was a small white dot, like a bit stuck on it. As I had to take my mother to hospital I was rushi, however on my return its gone all other fish are happy & eating as well as the fish I'm talking about. I have brought some anti fungus & finrot treatment don't really want to use it unless sure, I haven't had a fish with this problem before, white spot yes, & it defo isn't that. Any advice is welcome, thanks

Most 'Fungus' is really a bacterial problem, often Flavobacteria columnaris.
I would increase the water changes to lower the nitrate and remove organic matter and bacteria in the tank, but not medicate unless you see something again.
Actual fungi usually attack damaged tissue, for example from fish fighting, or tissue damaged by a bacterial infection.
By reading the active ingredients in the various medicines you may find that the companies are playing along: They package antibiotics, then label that package for 'Fish Fungus'

Keep up the water changes; a few more won't hurt.
