sad day, my mum informed me there's a problem with one of her goldfish in the pond.
Its 9 years old now seems likely to have flip over disease. My mum has tried for a month using different treatment to save. All failed needs putting out its suffering.
Never euthanasia a fish, really want to do today.
Wanted to use vodka, can you tell me how to carry this out please, have read about it but scared I will go wrong, & make it suffer double.
Thanks

Ditto Jim's link.
Clove oil is an anesthetic. Overdosed, it kills while the fish is asleep.

my grandad had to send one of his goldfish to fishy heaven and he used a scewer, you know, a metal one? he got the fish in the net and help it down and really quickly put the scewer throough the poor things brain.
it died instantly although it was hard for him to do

When I read "screwdriver" I was thinking of the drink made from vodka and orange juice.

Sorry about your fish. I'd drink the vodka and go with the skewer. The fish won't feel a thing, and if you drink enough, neither will you! good luck!!

Go with the clove oil, then you will be sure the fish didn't suffer!!!

yes, clove oil is probably the best way to go although make sure the poor thing is really gone before you dispose of the body.
