Can you give us more clues?
Where did you find these?
How many are there?
What were they doing?
What size are they?
Are the fish interested in eating them?

Have you been feeding live foods?
Do you have new fish or plants that might have brought in these things?

What kind of tank are they in? Fish, plants, and other details may help.

They look like one of 2 things to me:
Bloodworms (a fish food)
Camalanus (A very nasty parasite)
38 tanks, 2 ponds over 4000 liters of water to keep clean and fresh.

Happy fish keeping!

ok they are mostly in my power filter pads and in my uv sterilizer pad also. there were im guessing about roughly 10-20 in each pad. what they are doing mostly just burrowing themselves in the pads(a few can be found in the gravel when i vac). oh and they are about twice to three times the thickness of hair and about alittle longer than a quarter inch long. but never have i seen it on any of my fish... sorry for jumping all around im typing from a mobile. i think that was it and thank you for replying.

I really doubt they are fish parasites. I would feed them to my fish by putting the pads in the tank where the fish can get to them.
