clowns and chlorine

Hi everyone,
I recently purchased a python to make the wc's easier and no doubt it is great for vacuuming and removing water, however, I recall reading somewhere on this forum that even small amounts of chlorine can kill clown loaches, so I assume it is not possible to use the python to add new water as there would be no way to add the declornater/Prime while the new water is going in. Or did I misunderstand what I read..it was a while ago, and is it possible to add city tap water directly during a 20% wc and then quickly add the Prime to the tank? Did I miss anything trying to figure this out? Hope to hear from somone on this. Thanks.

I add the Prime to the tank right before refilling

We do like Nancy. We start off by taking out water, then we put in Easy Life, and then just pour fresh water from buckets straight from the tap (no RO, but I will get one). We've had no chlorine/chloramine related deaths what so ever.

Drain the tank with the Python,

Place chlorine removing drops in the tank, enough for the water you're about to add.

Fill the tank with the python.

Just don't forget the drops.

Thanks everyone
