people go fishing because its not just about eating the fish. Its about the fun and the adrenaline rush you get when a big one snatches your line. Also its very relaxing but still yet keeps you on your toes. Setting by a campfire and doing a little fishing is one of the smaller things in the world that means alot and you will always remember every fish youve caught. every store you heard where you fish. its about the memories......

My son is spending time with his uncle out on uncle's boat. I have no idea what they talk about, but I am sure it is not fishing all the time. They sure do not bring home much fish!
Of course the next time they go out they might get a sturgeon, then the 'not much fish' becomes 'why did we ever get such a small fridge, and no freezer?'

The main reason I go fishing is because its a great opportunity to enjoy and observe nature up close.
My favorite method is to wade small to medium size streams. In my opinion, there is no better way to relax and enjoy the natural world. You tend to see a variety of wildlife and the various types of fish that are found in the particular body of water. Some of the best times I have spent with family and friends I've been hip deep in a flowing stream. A side bonus is that if I want to, though I seldom do, I can get a meal in the process. I probably release 99% of what I catch.
