HIllstream Loach

Post by 1981anwar » Tue Dec 18, 2007 9:41 am

I recently purchased 2 hillstream loaches. purchased sunday 16th december. This morning when i got up I noticed something sucking the side of the tank (not a loach I had bought) it looked like a loach but was very very small. Is it a loach.. would it have been possible for an egg to have been in the bag that i took the loach home in or have i got an unwanted visitor in my tank ? I have searched high and low for a picture of a recently hatched hillstream loach.

I hope someone can help me..

Could you post a picture?

What type of Hillstream loach did you buy?

the species I have purchased is Beaufortia kweichowensis.. well thats what i was told from were i purchased it from. I will try to get a picture taken.

Im just a little unsure as to what is in my tank.. Im kinda worried incase its something that can harm my other fish. Its quite small and seems to stick to the glass or hide under one of the rocks. Im just really unsure as to if it is a baby loach thats why i've been trying to find a picture of a recently hatched one.

I won't be able to help ypu but one of the experienced people will be able to help with a photo. Did you try the search function at the top of the page for Hillstram fry? Here's a sample thread.
