Boston(ish) book signing & hillies

Post by NancyD » Sun Jan 06, 2008 10:52 am

Hey Mike Ophir! I stopped at Uncle Ned's Fri. He said you'll be doing a Loach Book signing after he gets the books. Weren't you going to tell us or just waiting for a definite time? I didn't know he had books so I had ordered online.

Anyway, he has Sewellia, Beaufortia with 2 different (gastro?)contaminants & is looking to get others, Schisturas maybe others for those lucky enough to have river tanks. Mike, he said you were especially wanting V. maassi. I told him Franks had had some & Ned'll call. Fingers crossed, I'd love to even see them but I do have tank room... sort of.

Mike, you really ought not to be keeping these events a secret...

Best of luck, though!

Mike, Frank's is in Long Island & gets cool fish. I've never ordered fish by mail but I've heard many good things about him. Here's the linkhttp://www.franksaquarium.com/brookstreamloaches.htm
Shipping is a fortune.

Hope to meet you at 1 of your events,
Nancy

I wish I'd known of this sooner, I'm on the Western end of MA and would have loved to come down! When you know which day (Saturday or Sunday) will you post here? I may be able to finagle it somehow...oh, and WHERE exactly is this Uncle Neds? Thanks.

Smiles, marli

Mike is also giving a loach talk at the BAS meeting 1/21 at the NE aquarium. I've never been to a meeting but it seems like a good excuse, depends on weather, trains.

Ned's is in Millis on Rte 109 between I-495 & 128 here's the websitehttp://www.unclenedsfishfactory.com/

Just got my book yesterday, very nice guys.

Mike, I'm not sure of the etiquette so I'll just ask. I got my book by mail order, can I bring it for you to sign at one of your events? (Did Ned get books yet?) The BAS runs almost past my bedtime but I'd like to hear your talk & check out the org. Are you a member?

Hey Mike;
You might want to remind Ned that he has probably had more of the books editors as his customers than any other fish store.
I still have several gastros that I bought there in 2002 and 2004. :wink:
