Some PET-foil food container, bent and tied with a cablebinder, in the center a rock. The tray put against a flower pot (=cut water bottle) on one side, makes a nice cover. Riccia put underneath and it grows through the holes (made with soldering iron, with window open)

Here the underneath side

Free floating riccia with 3 kuhlii

Kuhlii taking cover under cut waterbottles filled with sand, those work nice. The cut edge, was bent around to avoid sharb edges.

This is a PET foil packaging the power-save-lightbulb came with (for Q-tank). Again holes made with soldering iron, stone put into and som riccia.

I need to confess, that I put a plug on, wich should have kept out any fish, but it was not sealing enough and the oblonga found little gaps to enter and declare it a cosy home. I´m more and more buffeld by the acceptance of ugly plastic parts, it´s nice to look through, but the looks…perhaps I find a nice compromise some day… for now it´s just to keep some riccia from flowing…
