lazy clown loaches

Post by monsterrat56 » Thu Jun 01, 2006 12:36 pm

Please could anybody tell me as to why clown loaches lay on their side?
This is happening with one of my parents 2 clown loaches. However, this usually occurrs in their other tropical fish when they are about to die but for some reason the clown loaches are not dying.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Welcome to the world of Loaches

Most of the Botia species do that I believe. My clowns and YoYos scare me almost constantly with their napping. It's just part of owning them

i agree with mama... they ALWAYS do that, so don't be alarmed. they're just strange and they sleep like that. mine pile ontop of eachother and sleep like that, which is most of the day, unless they see me near the tank, then they wake up and see how i'm doing. i LOVE loaches and don't worry, they'll always scare you. just walk close to the tank and usually you'll wake them up and they'll bolt!
many tanks...

got to love my fat little wobbly wigglies...
