cheni loaches - male or female

Post by fifi » Tue Mar 04, 2008 10:05 am

Hi all  ,
I’ve got 3 cheni loaches in my tank. ..Can someone suggest on how to determine the difference between male & female? The information ive read until now didn’t help me a lot.
Ive got 1 dark coloured cheni loach which is also the smallest of them all and 2 others are slightly bigger and lighter coloured.

.....a few pictures i managed to take as they r fast lil fish

it's not easy to see if they have tubercules around the head.
ive got 9 of them and to get a decent pic of the head i had to put the fish in a show tank.
i'm sorry i can't be more helpful than that Fifi.
