New pangio tank

Well, this week we finally moved house and gave me a chance to change around all the fish since they had to be bagged up and all.
So after a long thought, we decided to give the Pangio's their very own tank (2.5x1x1.25), with the idea of upgrading in a few months. I didn't want to through the hassle of trying to catch them in the 4ft again, so this way at least all can be lifted into the new tank when it comes along.

Along side the Pangio groups, we have a shoal of Barbus fasciolatus and a smaller shoal of Puntius pentazona.

Some pic's; we went for a more planted version of the old tank for them this time round, still with their amond leaf corner since it worked so well with them last time.

Emma, yes still in Wales-I have decided to stay on a few more years at uni so a bigger house was called for, more room for bigger tanks
Settled in well so far-got the last two tanks to move tonight, great but it will give me a chance to change around everyone, which I am grateful for in a way.....

Graeme, the barbs have only been in for two days. I have found them quite skittish since, but last night they were out and about coming up for the evening meal, and today theres a big of chasing and 'side bashing' between a few of them.
Im glad I did decide on the larger group (10), I don't think they would have settled as quickly in smaller numbers, but they have impressed me so far. Some are starting to get this orange 'glowing' stripe down their side, very attractive little fish imo; well worth considering!

Ashleigh they are great barbs, i was saying to piggy4 that as i was speaking to him i was sexing the fasci's,
you should get no probs with them now and as far as aggression goes they haven't got any,
you have one of the very placid barbs and i'm as jealous as buggery cos ive not seen any for sale around here.
are they katapan leaves youve added?
and the tank lookls great now but in a few months when you post the next pics ( hint) i can imagine how it's going to be.

Been mulling over some dither fish choices for here, too. So far I'm undecided.

The Pangios have started to come out for most of the day now, like they did before. Il pop a few pictures of them up in the coming days.

Mick, are you refering to the pile of leaves in the corner? By katapan leaves do you mean amond leaves?

Im starting to like these barbs more and more, (Barbus fasciolatus), they have their own little disagreements with one another but have started to 'chill out' a bit, the glowing stripe down the side of several of them seems to be getting stronger.
