it is all highly confusing!
Nice try Janma
Is there a Canadian gallon too?
we buy milk in pints from the milkman i think, but in litres equivalent to pints in the supermarket
just be really confusing, most beers in bottles are 500ml, but occasionally some are sold in pint bottles
in pubs, we can buy beer in 1/3, 1/2 and full pints, but not in litres
we use miles for roads, but buy fuel by the litre. we still talk about miles to the gallon though
we use tonnes per acre to measure crop productivity (i have seen tons per hectare used before too
) and some people use litres per acre when talking about strength of crop sprays
