Weather Loach

Post by sandygirl » Wed Apr 23, 2008 6:33 pm

I just joined this forum and want to learn so much more about Loaches. I have 1 Weather Loach (I think) he/she is almost white with a pinkesh tinge. I have had other weather loaches that where almost black. Are there different colours of weather loaches :?: They have such a personality that seem to now you. At least mine seems to communicate with it's eyes.

Loaches in general are very personable fish.
There are different colorings among Weather Loaches. The most obvious is the camouflaged, mottled look, which can vary and the 'Albino' or 'golden' variation.
Among those with the original, wild coloration the spots can be bigger or smaller, more deeply colored or paler and so on. Also Loaches can change their color intensity depending on mood.

Happy fish keeping!

I'm glad someone brought this up, as I've been meaning to ask but never remember to! Of my 4 dojos/weather loaches, 1 of them is pink. I guess it's normal then!
