No it doesn't Darren.

What do you want to know? It's easier to get longer, more in-depth answers here, and from more people than you'll get in a chat-room.

Darren,

Loaches Online is the most informative loach site on the web. Lots and lots of knowledgeable loach-keepers look in on this site numerous times a day, so there is usually always someone on hand to give advice. So anything you want to chat about, ask away - you'll usually get answered pretty quickly.

With regards to your Clowns being kept with cichlids, many people have explained why this is not a good idea in your other thread titled "clown loachs and cichlids it really can work" and you seemed to have taken it on board and on Sun 25th June even said:
DarrenMnaples wrote:thank you very much for all of your knowlage now i just have to figure out woch fish to get ride of (probally the cichlids) i will just feel kinda stupid walking in to the fish store with all 10 cichlids ireally appreceate every ones input like i said i just want happy healthy fish thank you again
You had figured out the right thing to do, so I would have thought that you really don't need to hear anymore about other people's 'experiences' on this subject. Just because others maybe "getting away with" keeping these two vastly different types of fish together doesn't mean it is right.

Put the fish first.

Our digital pH meter is made by VitalSine, distributed by TMC in the UK. They are not cheap, retailing for approximately £100. I'm sure there are also other makes that you could buy from a specialist aquatic retailer or on-line.

My Odessa barbs are even more colorful than most african cichlids--no joke. The males are bright, bright red, with black on their faces, and a bright yellow dorsal with black spots, blue highlights around their gills, and blue ventral fins. Barbs make wonderful tankmates to loaches and come in many, many colors. I also have gouramis in white, blue, and brown. I used to have a yellow one. My tank is very colorful, and not a single cichlid.

Hey, what about kuhlis? The best colors in town, no wonder clowns imitate them.

Err.....I'm not being funny, but have you had an eye test recently!?!
If its not your eyesight then I suggest you start visiting a few more fish shops - there are masses of beautifully coloured fish that would suit your set-up. There are some stunning barbs availible, for one example. Oddessa's are very colourful, as Tammy said, but my favorite barbs at the moment have to be Puntius Denisoni, aka red line torpedo barbs:

A nice big shoal of these Indian fish would look great in a clown tank, plus they are peaceful and would act as 'dithers', making your clowns feel more comfortable. Only word of caution would be on temperature - denisoni barbs might not do very well at the very top end of the clown's temp scale.

Did you see the thread with Graeme's barbs? I was especially impressed with the Puntius tambraparniei!

Exactly! Another great example of gorgeously coloured freshwater fish that are Asian and compatable with clowns.

Cichlids.......pah!
