Practical Fishkeeping Article Issue 5 May 2008

Post by tango » Sat Jun 28, 2008 1:15 pm

Just wanted to say thank you to Emma Turner for her absorbing article 'The Right Way to Keep Clown Loaches'

Of course it has confirmed that my set up is all wrong!:-) But hey you live and learn and I will try to rectify my tank's problems asap and save up for a larger tank (Do they come with free houses because we live in a small flat already blessed with 3 tanks, a bird cage and a worm farm!)

Great article my 2 loaches (see? that's the first problem right there! LFS said they like to pair up) are such characters and I'm feeling guilty that I've caused them unnecessary stress:-(

Thanks again Emma, sorry, Ms Turner - I am new here after all. Article stated that you moderate this forum- hope you still do!

Welcome to LOL :D

the fish shop i got my first loach from, it supposedly has a good reputation, was quite happy selling me 1 botia striata and said they are fine on their own. it hid all the time. i have learned so much here.

Thank you. :D

The article is only available in the magazine, and not on the PFK website as far as I am aware.

Well done Emma. Are you getting royalties for this? If so I will buy a copy. Nice pics of those big porkers!

Hi Robert,

I got a one-off payment for the article, which I was pleased with. :D I think you can still get a copy through their back copy order system. There are plenty of pics in there of my lot too. 8) I am just about to start on another loach article for PFK which should be printed in the November issue (it may seem like an early start, but they work several months in advance).

I got my issue! I didnt have to worry about getting a back order, all our international magazines are late here.

Well done Emma for enlightening the mainstream fishkeeper about the Clown Loach.

Dear, it's been four years, but I'll give it a shot. Is there any glimmer of hope that this article is out there on the web?
Loaches buff. :)
