Q tank prophylactic treatment
Hi all,
A few of you have mentioned that you treat new fish in the Q tank as a precaution even without signs of a problem. It makes great sense to me and I am hoping that you might share your process. What meds you use specifically? What dosage? How long? What meds do you use together if any. etc. etc.
Of course this is with treating loaches in mind. I have 2 new g. zebrinas in my Q tank that I've begun treating with levamisole using Shari's method in the article here. Hoping to have a new tank soon and will be adding some Kubs.
Thanks!

My LFS is not the best and they have chronic problems. I just assume the fish have ich so I will give them a treatment before I add them to the main tank.
The parasite treatment is new to me. I can recognize when loaches in particular are suffering and looking xtra thin. Unfortunately not uncommon. I just found levamisole at a local farmers co-op so I'm treating with that for the first time. I've read a bit about e different parasites and wondering if I should also treat with prazi or flubendazole?
By the way g. zebrinas that I'm treating appear to be healthy and are active and eating up a storm!
Thanks for your input.
