weird clown loach behavior, maybe not?

one of my babies (1 inch) goes over to the heater whether it is on or not and looks like he is smelling the heater then after a few seconds he jumps back off the heater like he got hit or spooked, but he also does it with tubing, and the undergravel post.

is this weird behavior, or is it normal...I mean is something wrong with him?

Nothing wrong with him. Loaches in general just do weird things; part of the attraction of the interesting fish.
38 tanks, 2 ponds over 4000 liters of water to keep clean and fresh.
