I have a 55 gal in wall tank with only 10 fish around 1 & 3/4 inch. in my non-aggresive community. 13 counting the 3, 1/2" fry that are floating in the tank in the clear plastic breeder.
So, I've become hooked on C. Loaches and want to create a tank for them and get it established & cycled so I can begin adding to it by Christmas (my present to myself).
I've located a used 70 gal in good condition for $80
(with a 1" bulkhead hole on 1 side & 3/4" bulkhead hole for return on the other). But I really want 75-110 gal. And the 70 gal is only 36 " long.
Any of these dimensions are fine for the space I will be setting it up.
75 ..... 48 x 18 x 21
90 ..... 48 x 18 x 24
105.... 48 x 18 x 29
110.... (Oceanic) 60 x 18 x 23
110.... Extra High 48 x 18 x 30
Of Course cost has to be considered, which is why I am looking locally for used.
Although we had African Cichlids for yrs, this will be a new venture for me & I do not want to crash & burn. I will be grateful for any & all helpful advice.
Want to get a 2nd tank for Clown Loach

I found one! Entire set up...
http://miami.craigslist.org/brw/for/869841756.html
I paid $200 The seller says it is a nice tank in great condition. Has a cabinite/stand, light, pump, etc... The stand is black formika & has a crack on 1 side.
He said he was tired of feeding them every other day
When I asked what kind of fish he has, the response was ...I think there are some tetras, mollys & some orange ones. And he didn't really seem very into tropical fish. After asking a couple more questions he admitted a fishing buddy was moving so needed to get rid of them (there were 2) & that's how he wound up with them.
My wonderful son & DIL has picked it all up for me. He lives near the guy & is on his way here with it all. The fish will have prob been without aeriation for about an hour and 1/2.
Do you think they will make it?

If there was air above the water that they were being held in such as in a bucket or a bag like you get in a store then an hour and a half without aeration should not be a problem.
If they were all stuffed into one small bag there might be a problem.
Sounds like you got a good deal, though! A 75 gallon with stand and extras is a good buy at $200.00.

38 tanks, 2 ponds over 4000 liters of water to keep clean and fresh.
Happy fish keeping!

TY Diana...I thought so, too.I'll try to post a pic of the fish that came with it, in the next day or 2 & maybe I'll get some input on what they are.
Althought it came with gravel I will be discarding it to put a substrate that would be agreeable with clown loaches, because the tank is empty now & the fish are in my little isolation tank. Now is the time to do it.
