Since When...
is a Red Tail Shark (Epalzeorhynchos bicolor) a loach?
I just bought Dac. Tropical Fish Hobbyist magazine. thei is their fish profile for the month of Dec. The first sentence in the profile is:
"This loach is a perennial favorite that is often bought by the wrong people..."
(quoted from pg 66)

the rts is great in loach tanks though.
I have them in my community loach tank and my GRRR tank.
the rts did hate my horseface loach though...NOT a good mix!
The rts in my grrr tank is funny. The EOS or Mods will come out and push it out of the area it is in. The rts will back off until the loach leaves and then the rts goes back all flaired up like it wasn't bothered a bit by the loach.

We bought one for the Clown tank because my girlfriend liked them. I agree newshound they do great. This little guy was so ballsy from the get go, mixing in with the melee at feeding times. It's growing like Topsy too!
Beautiful, always on the go grazing fish. I wish they were sociable. Can you imagine a shoal of about 20 adults?
Martin.
