Les brought these cheni to the LOL meet last week for me, they have settled really well and the big male seems to have already chosen his favourite rock

Pseudogastromyzon cheni - Our little or not so little guys

Post by dlenn » Thu Feb 26, 2009 7:18 am

Thanks for posting those pictures Mark. It's good to see our Guys and Gals looking good and grumpy in the photo tank with all those fins up! Hope 'Paws' as we nicknamed him will do a good job as an Alpha/ breeding male for you. :)

He has the trademark large bristles (sorry if it's not the correct name) that all our males seem to get. The original Alpha and his Father had large bristles too.

If I remember from when Les caught them there were a couple of nice females too.

Our guys are sorting out their pecking order again. We are hoping the large Alpha female will choose a male soon and lay some eggs as she is huge

The new yellow tail gastro has really confused one of our male Cheni. He tried to be friendly and then looked very confused when she didn't follow him! :?
