hi all
lately arrived, so enjoy first pictures

barbucca diabolica - my little slim devils

size is 3.9-4.1 cm, patterns and colouring are distinct. they are looking fine and I'll report more as soon I have more time to watch.

Love the Homalops. Been trying to get them for awhile, this sure makes me more determined.

Hi Charles ,nice pics are those Babbuca's the ones that Kamphol collects ? are they Diabolica or different sp/ they look longer than Diabolica :idea:

as Roberts described young??? specimen of 2,3 cm ...
(and as c. macranthus looks a litlle different in borneo too ???)
so my question is: are we a bit further?
for b. diabolica in thailand see this

I see two possibilities: 1 two species, both with diabolic eyes, different in size and pattern and ...
2 one species, specimen with different patterns, sizes, colouring (as my 10 specimen are)
and not enough specimen to decide ... should have more and a trip to borneo

You must keep us informed about those Homoloptera's , I dont think there much information about them really :idea:

hi jim
it's late so just a few words.
they are doing well. eating all I give and lying around for the rest, quite easy. even the c. pygmaeus won't bother them. females getting rounder and rounder. I've some picture with a "couple" training the right thing, nibbling and pushing. but it seems it's the female's interest. cant judge it at the moment. one out of eight is always apart or even hidden, the others looking "stream-upwards", paddling for hours.
and ervery time the flash sparks they make a little jump.
