Latin name for the 2 common kuhlis please
I know the stripped ones are Pangio kuhlii, but what about the black/olive colored ones? Is there even a designation for them other them Pangio subspecies?

Have a look at the fish in the first and fifth groups. These are the ones most often called Kuhlies. I have seen about 4-5 of them available in some local store or other through the years.

38 tanks, 2 ponds over 4000 liters of water to keep clean and fresh.
Happy fish keeping!

I looked there earlier, but not a thoroughly as i should have. Looks to me like i have Pangio oblonga. Thanks for the more direct
locations.
I'm so stoked because i just found out my Pangio kuhlii had babies and i'm a bit particular about the latin names of my fish. So i thought i'd ask about the black kuhli which is the kuhli i assumed would have had the offspring (if any) as i have more of them to begin with 7/8 of them and only 3 pangios. So far i've seen two offspring about 1.5"/2".

No chance of that, my gravel bed is around 4" thick. If there is more they are hiding well. I saw one out lastnite in my biggest crypt with a couple of the adults. My camera is not cooperating at all, neither are the loaches. Its a very dense crypt and they peek out just for a moment, frustrating and back aching waiting for that perfect shot.
