Where to buy a reticulated (aka tiger) hillstream loach

Post by mwetherbee » Thu Mar 11, 2010 3:46 am

:?: I desperatly would love to add a reticulated hillstream loach to my aquarium, but I cannot find anyplace that sells them. I have asked several LFS and few even knew what it was, and I can't find any places online so far.

Does anybody have any idea?

I have a 29 gallon with an albino dwarf pleco, a few tiger barbs, 2 gouramis and 3 ghost catfish.

i have had this tank for over 6 months and I have good currant and filtration, with lots of hiding places.

If anybody knows where I could buy one please let me know!!!

Ask and ye shall receive... :D
I have heard good reports on this site, and they have what you are looking for.

I am just waiting for them to get Homaloptera orthogoniata again. :)

Glad to help. I know what its like wanting Sewellia and not being able to get them. It took me quite a while before my favorite fish store got them. Now they are the most common hillstream they get...go figure.
Now, if I could just get some Homaloptera orthogoniata. The invertzfactory had them last year, but I didn't get any due to lack of space in my tanks. Now that I have some space, I am just waiting for them to be available again.
Let us know how your order goes.

Not sure if your still looking, but Denver Tropical Fish Warehouse in Aurora has a bunch of them. I just picked up 6 for my tank.
