Clown treats, An intresting find.
So I have a 125g which is more of a grow out tank as I am buying a 300g acrylic down the line. I have 7 clown loaches(All are now doing great), 16 Tiger barbs, 9 young bristle nose plecos, and 1 large F2 Amphilophus Citrinellus(Midas cichlid). So I put in some mixed veggies which had "french cut green beans, carrots, sweat peas, and corn". Everyone in the tank ignored the corn and I figured I would have to make sure to remove the corn before adding. Then the Clowns came out as they always do from the decorations later in the day. They checked out the veggies with little intrest, then the largest(I call him Alpha) started going after the corn. He postions it so he could get his mouth in the open part of the kernal and just as they would eat a snail out of it's shell he cleaned out the corn. Wasn't long before that caught on and the group hollowed out all the corn. Anyone else ever see this?
I tied lead strip around it in a loop, I pushed the sharp end of the strip pushed into the ends of the cob much like you might with cucumber. I would put small sections in next time, they left the skin of the corn which heads straight for your filter and needs hoovering out when you're done. It is funny watching them figure out if it's food then decide that it is, then figure out how to eat it.
