Cold vs. warm water loaches

Post by astex » Thu Jul 01, 2010 2:23 pm

Ok,

I've been reading the old posts (pg 36? or so now) and it seems that there are cool water and warm water loaches.

So, has anyone ever put together a quick reference chart or something to help when choosing loaches?

I have 5 clowns and when they move into their 100gal, I would like to add some more loaches. However, I hate having to search through all the profiles to figure out what would be appropriate.

If not a table, is there any generalizations one cold make? I.e. all long/skinny loaches like cool, Clown Loaches and the like are warm.

Thanks

Well, maybe you could start with origin? Loaches from nearer the equator are more likely to be warm water Loaches. Loaches from streams (especially near mountains) are likely to be cool water Loaches.
38 tanks, 2 ponds over 4000 liters of water to keep clean and fresh.

Happy fish keeping!
