my clowns LOVE zucchini (and algae wafers.)
I "parboil" the Z in the microwave after slicing it into coins.
I just put a plant weight on it and the pull it out the next am (whatever they have not eaten) . At first they were not sure, but once the SAE gobbled it, they knew it was good food. Now they prefer their zucchini over many other foods. I have not had luck getting them to eat broccoli, but I know of many others have had success.

I feed a variety of foods: I do the zucchini, algae wafers, tropical crisps, shrimp pellets and sinking wafers (not all at the same time - two small to medium sized meals per day) They also get blood worms, but only once a week. They do not seem to like the brine shrimp as much. If I catch garden worms, I will wash them off well and they like them, as long as I chop them up.
They also get a steady diet of SNAILS from my other tanks!
I probably feed too much, but I think two smaller meals a day is better than one big one. Also, I do not feel too badly, as long as I keep up the water changes so that the water quality does not suffer.
hope this helps

Veggie diet
Your clowns and most other loachs will readily accept veggies.I have been feeding mine fresh cuccumber and zuccinni for the past 7 years. I also feed froozin brine shrimp, chopped prawns (table shrimp), veggie pellets, and a high protien flake food. I randomly change what I feed each feeding, 3 times a day. Hope this helps with keeping all your fish happy!
