Setting up a hospital tank

What should i use for and in a hospital tank i'm planning to use to treat my smallest goldfish?
Like what size of tank, decorations and filter...

Pretty quiet around here. I've never had a hospital tank before but can make a few guesses at what I've seen people mention before.

The size depends on the fish but I wouldn't go any smaller than ~60 litres just because it starts to get difficult to keep the water parameters stable. I'd go with all plastic decorations so that they can be sterilized with boiling water after the tank has had infected fish and medicines in it. I'd probably go with no substrate but make sure there are plenty of hiding places for any bottom dwelling fish. Filter...dunno. I'd tend to go with a decent external.
