New to loaches & this forum
I have had a life long love of aquarium fish thru my dad that had very large tanks from fresh to marine setups, when I was a child. I now have a 240lt tank with a background I made myself
, live plants, bogwood, heavy sand & slate pieces. I was given a 60lt tank with five fancy tail goldfish & danios which got me started.
I purchased two hillstreams & one weather loach although I don't know how to sex them so at a loss as to what I have.
But today the hillies were putting on a great performance that didn't stop for atleast 45mins. dancing around each other, one being more forthright than the other.
Was this a fight between two males or a courtship dance
I would really appreciate any info about my hillies thanx

Thanx for your reply Jim.
One was trying to top the other mostly, but there was a bit of shoving back & forth. Do you mean what species of loach
If so I will try to find out.
I have in my new tank ,five 2"- 3.5" fancy tail goldfish. five danois & one 6" weather loach. I would love to sell my gold fish. They are very beautiful but greedy & foul the water very fast.
I am looking at creating a loach community but need to sell my goldfish first.
By the way I am an american living in Wales. Been here since 1978. It's cool to talk to another yank.
