Do Stiphodon and Schistura do well in one tank?

I have a question and could use your advice.
I have a 100x50x40 cm tank ( appr. 40x20x16 inches) for my Hillstream Loaches.
I'm about to introduce 4 Stiphodons to the tank.
The person i will buy them from, also has 4 Schistura Balteata for sale.
I really dig the Schistura's but i am in doubt if they mix well in my tank
The tankmates will be several Hillstream Loaches, 2 Rhinogobius, 4 Stiphodons and the tank provides enough hiding places for all species.

Can i add the Schistura's to my tank without any problem or will they clinch/ stress the Stiphodons and/ or Rhinogobius?

I have no experience with rhinogobius(territorial?), but my s. cf. balteata don't bother anyone but each other, and i doubt that they would bother the stiphodons(which sp.?) You really never know for sure with individual fish, but it souinds fine to me.

Exactly the same here, one of the tanks has 3 S.balt. with 2 male Stiphodon and 6" clowns and other crazy guys that normaly would not be put together with Stiphodon (that's why the other Stiphodon are in different tanks). However, those 2 are very brave and seem to feel well, other Stiphodon I moved, as those gobies eat slower and most of my loaches are very effective "vacuumcleaners" which don't leafe anything for slow eaters.

Make sure the S.balt have many holes to hide and a chance to dig their holes, that makes them feel comfy - same goes for Stiphodon.

The owner does not know for sure but they were sold to him as Stiphodon Rutilaureus.

I have a long pvc-pipe that goes underneath the gravel (it runs between the stacked pebbles from one to the otherside of my tank) and is accessible from both sides. Besides that, there's wood, caves between slatestone and stacked pebbles and also several short pvc pipes placed in the gravel. The Gobies are not agressive towards eachother, they each have their own place in the tank and they eat everything. They love snails, but i do have to squash those against the glass first.
They do chase and clinch at feeding time but i see no open mounths, wide fins nor constant clinching.
As soon as feeding time is over, they each go their own way again.

I have 2 other tanks i could set up for either the Schistura's or the Rhinogobius, if the combination might not work in the main tank.
The river-tank is not crowded and i am convinced i can provide them the hidingplaces and circumstances they need.
A powerhead with venturi and big external filter take care for current, oxygen and filtering.

Schistura's are hard to get near where i live and i do not want to miss this opportunity.
I now know that Schistura and Stiphodon can work but that the combination Rhinogobius and Schistura might be tricky.
I will go for it and take the risk. If the combination turns out bad, i'll set up another tank to seperate those who can not get along.

All is doing well. The combination with Stiphodon and Rhinogobius turned out great.
The Schisturas are only interested in eachother and never bother the other tankmates. (Danio Kyathit, Gastromyzons, Rhinogobius and Stiphodon) They go bunkers doing feedingtime but for the rest they live in the back of the tank, behind the stone formation where i can't see them. They eat everything and i think they also eat snails because i have a lot less pondsnails than i had a year ago.
The group i bought is still complete and they seem happy in my tank.
